Steve Alboucq - Trumpet

Steve is a classically trained trumpet player with deep roots in Symphonic, Jazz, Pop and Latin music styles.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Washington State University where he was the principal trumpet in the WSU Symphonic Orchestra, Brass Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble.

Steve has performed as a freelance trumpet player with groups such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, Gladys Knight and the Pips, the salsa band Bochinche, The Northwest Symphony, the Kirkland Chanter Orchestra, The Roadside Attraction Big Band, Jazz Police, Orquestra Nueva Era, Soul Provider, Freddie Pink and the Hightops, and the Seattle Central Community College Jazz Band, among many others.

He has studied with a variety of world-class teachers including:  Arthur Statter, the former principal trumpet with the New York Ballet, NBC Symphony Orchestra, and many Broadway shows; Gerald Webster, internationally known classical trumpet recording artist, educator and author; and Gary Harding, internationally acclaimed Latin percussionist and ethnomusicologist.
