Taraji Belgacem - Singing

Taraji came to Rhythm Syndicate by way of Javier Anderson, the band’s former singer, who brought Taraji in as a backup singer in 2004. When Javier left the group to focus on his own music, Taraji was asked to take over lead singing duties.

Taraji is comfortable singing in Spanish, Portugese, and English, and has been threatening to work up some Ethiopian tunes. With her love for Gigi, Jamaroquoi, Cuban music, Bob Marley, and all things funky, Taraji’s wide range of musical influences and abilities make her a natural fit for the Syndicate.
